Bourton Model Village can be found behind the Old New Inn and is a one ninth scale model of Bourton-on-the-Water. Here you will find the river Windrush with its distinctive bridges, the beeches, willows and chestnuts all in miniature. At the churches you can even hear the choirs. The model is of Bourton village itself and contains a model of the model.
The Bourton on the Water model village was built by local craftsmen in the 1930's and opened in 1937, on the Coronation day of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The buildings in the Model Village are constructed and maintained in Cotswold stone from the local quarry.
