Fairs and Festivals
Wallingford BunkFest is the biggest gathering of morris dancers on the calendar in Oxfordshire and draws morris and traditional dancers from far and wide. There are scheduled to be over a dozen bands lined up for the main stage in the KineCroft. Much of the action can be found around the town where there is quite a bit of rivalry between free roots factions. The Bunkfest celebrates its 16th year - starting from a marquee in a pub car park to filling the KineCroft and providing entertainment throughout Wallingford, on the River Thames and on the Bunk Railway line.
Abingdon Vesper's Dragon Boat Day is a popular, annual charity fund raising event held alongside the Thames at Abingdon. The next event will take place on Sunday 3rd September 2017. Races will start around 10.30am and continue throughout the day, finishing late afternoon.

Dragon Boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition over 2000 years old and is one of Britain's most competitive water sports. It's a great way to raise money and it's spectacular, colourful, exciting and fun!

Charlbury Street Fair is held on the 3rd Saturday in September and has taken place every year since the early 1950’s. The main purpose of Street Fair and Open Gardens is to raise money for the upkeep of the Corner House and the War Memorial Hall - two community buildings that play such an important part in the lives of so many people in and around Charlbury.
