We all know what pain is, but what IS it? Irene Tracey is Nuffield Professor of Anaesthetic Science, and Director of the FMRIB Centre at the University of Oxford, where she uses brain imaging tools to see the ‘brain in action’ as it generates the experience of pain and pain relief. She will be exploring what we know, what we don’t know, and what scientists are hoping to find out.
