Rock, jazz, folk, choral, hip-hop, indie, gospel, country, classical, dance and more: we've got something for everyone. Join the celebrations of the seventh Witney Music Festival on Saturday 27th April, where the variety of musicians playing at our festival kick off event on The Leys will be as wide as the stage. Saturday 27th April will herald the opening of Witney Music Festival 2013 at a brand new outdoor event.

Witney Food and Drink Festival

The first Witney Festival of Food and Drink is taking place on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 and hosted in and around the iconic 13th century medieval church of St. Mary’s on Church Green in the heart of the flourishing market town of Witney.A great day out! Make your way around the variety of stalls showcasing all the amazing abundance, variety and quality of food and drink produced right here on our doorstep. 

An Evening of Wine

Neil Phillips, The Wine Tipster, “makes wine make sense” in a smooth-talking, entertaining, lively and informative way. At this wine tasting event, tantalise your taste buds with a selection of exciting wines in a light hearted journey around the world of wine and find out what’s in and what’s not! Neil will offer tips on what you should be buying and where. Does food and wine matching really matter? Neil has extensive experience as a speaker, interviewer, MC, voice-over artist and presenter of wine and food.

A Dickensian Christmas

The Great Hall will be adorned with grand Christmas trees decorated in candles, baubles, lanterns in traditional reds, greens and golds associated with a Victorian Christmas. Dickensian scenes will be brought to life with ‘Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe' windows for Victorian passers-by to peer into from the blistering winter outside.

Blenheim Palace Literary Festival at Woodstock

Woodstock has become the UK's ultimate boutique literary festival - and the first major event of Britain's autumn literary season.

Alternating each day between Blenheim Palace and the historic town of Woodstock, the Fesitval offers beautiful settings.  Its venues range from ancient hotels, Inns and townhouses to the majestic interiors of Blenheim Palace.  Blenheim Palace boasts the most magnificent festival backdrop in England.

Shakespeare in the Park

You will certainly enjoy Shakespeare in the Park. There’ll be no time for snoozing in this fast-paced evening of all the very best bits from the Bard: lovers, villains, kings and clowns, join some of Shakespeare’s favourite characters for a picnic in the park.

Head of the River 2000m Race

March sees the Abingdon Head of the River 2000m rowing race upstream on the River Thames.  400 competitors from across the UK visit Abingdon for this annual event on the river.  All boats sizes and all classes race in four divisions through the day starting at 9:30 – 16:00.  Come and watch the racing  and entertainment along the river bank, ample parking and hot and cold local refreshments available all day (Rye Meadow, by Abingdon town bridge).  Take in the atmosphere of the great sport and enjoy historic Abingdon over a picnic by the river.

Boutique Craft Fair at Faringdon

The Boutique Craft Fair is dedicated to working with talented artisans to promote and sell their handmade crafts throughout Oxfordshire and The Cotswolds. Each Boutique Craft Fair is held in a unique stunning venue, and all crafts available have been lovingly handmade by artisans. Next Craft Fair: Saturday 22nd September 2012 at The Corn Exchange in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

46th Witney Motor Show

Witney Motor Show is organised by Witney Motor Club and has being going since 1966. The show welcomes exhibits from the motor trade, ranging from main dealers and independent garages to motorcycle dealers. The show also attracts many car clubs and individuals displaying thier pride and joy.

Cotswold Food & Farming Festival

Local producers, Cooking demonstrations and farming display. Adam Henson, Director of the Cotswold Farm Park said: "The Cotswold Farm Park has passion in British Farming at its core. The North Cotswold Food and Farming Festival is a great way to promote both farming and local food producers - many of whom are either diversified farmers or source their ingredients locally. This event gives people from both near and far the opportunity to learn a bit more about the countryside and sample some of the great delights on offer".
